Connected Reflections

I was randomly browsing for Running Man funny video clips on Youtube, when I found this touching confession clip of Kim Jong Kook, one of the Running Man cast. Although we usually see him bullying Lee Kwang Soo in Running Man, his words in the end of this video clip was strong and have given me a “big slap” on my face because sometimes I still ignore or underestimate someone’s ability.

“I think… nobody knows what kind of person someone will become in the future.. (you will never know how and when people’s relationship is going to change) Therefore, even though someone who is lower in position than me, or even though someone who doesn’t have any power.. (no matter how low the other person stands in the community) we should not ignore or hurt them (why not treat them truly)”  -  Kim Jong Kook

These days, I simply fall in love with this song. The first time I heard this song, I reckoned that the singer’s sexy voice is very similar with Tanya Chua (蔡健雅)’s voice. Later, I learned that Shadya Lan (蓝又时) was one of the nominees of 2010 Best New Artist in Golden Melody Awards, which was won by another favorite singer of mine, Lala Hsu (徐佳莹). What I like about this song is the well-written lyric, as Shadya mentioned that she did research about trademark stuff in London and tried to include those stuff within the song (e.g Sting’s CD, Big Ben, London Eye, Red Phone Booth and London Underground).
